| dc.description.abstract | 台灣自 1970年代開始有環保法規，環境治理機構在 1987年由衛生署環保局升格為環保署，而環境管制在2000年以後開始趨於嚴格，以上的演變對產業發展有顯著之影響。本文實證分析顯示 2002-2014年期間，產業的污染防治支出佔產值比重與利潤率有顯著之負相關，利潤率與產值佔比則呈現顯著正相關。相對的，在 2000年之前污染防治支出佔產值比重與利潤率的相關性並不顯著。 | zh_TW |
| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this paper is to explore the impacts of environmental regulations on industry development. The environmental legislation began to take shape in Taiwan in the 1970s. Taiwan Environmental Protection Administration was established in 1987, an expansion from a bureau under the Department of Health. However, more stringent environmental regulations and enforcement began around 2000. The empirical results indicate a strong negative correlation between the profit margin of a industry and its ratio of pollution abatement costs to production value in 2002-2014. During 1988 -2000, the correlation was much weaker. Meanwhile, the share of production value in the manufacturing sector has a strong positive correlation with the profit margin in 2002-2014. | en |
