Many charitable organizations and Nonprofit Organizations have devoted to eradication of poverty, hoping to narrow the gap between the rich and the poor. However, the operation of traditional charitable organizations exists many problems, including the unclear flow of donation funds, the traditional way of charity donation cannot help poor people rely on their own efforts and break the cycle of poverty, the flow of donation funds is not circulated, and dependence of charities on social support to maintain operations.
In attempt to help the charities solve existing operating problems, this study examined several difficulties faced in charitable organization operations and proposed the idea of new online socializing platform operation model which provides channel of financing and channel of distribution in chapter 3. The management team of platform offer help to underprivileged groups in remote districts according to their need by visiting them in person, such as providing fundraising plans for the lack of capital of underprivileged groups to buy machine and equipment, distribution channel and marketing services for products produced by underprivileged groups in remote districts.
Using this new operation model of online socializing platform, the lender can choose the borrower to make small loans and decide the destination of the fund, the underprivileged groups in remote districts can get the resources they need and have opportunities to enable their own skills, the public can buy the special commodities and help the underprivileged groups at the same time. In addition, using loans to replace donations, the flow of funds can circulate and create value repeatedly, helping many people with the same amount of money.
In chapter 4, this study used VCC-Value Creation Cycle model to analyze how the value the platform created can generate and maintain the positive cycle, and proposed the vision of the fully realized platform business model, depicting the scenarios with the VPS-Vision, Position, Scenario cycle and discussing using cases and prospects.
Overall, this study aims at proposing a new business model and a clear vision for the charities, so as to serve as the strategic blue print for the people that may be interested in this field.
