摘要: | WRKY轉錄因子在植物中為一龐大的家族,此類蛋白具有由約莫六十個胺基酸所組成高度保守的功能區塊(domain),可藉由此區塊結合DNA及調節基因的表現。由前人研究中可得知此類蛋白廣泛參與植物防禦相關機制並扮演重要的角色,但在非生物逆境方面所扮演的角色尚未釐清。在本篇研究中,我們發現WRKY IId的家族成員WRKY17可與植物所特有的HD2類組蛋白去乙醯酶HD2C互作。當植物體內的WRKY17被剃除後,可發現其對於鹽逆境較為敏感,此種現象在WRKY17及HD2C同時被剃除後又更為顯著。此外,在基因表現上也顯示WRKY17參與離層酸的訊息傳遞。綜合以上可知,WRKY17於非生物逆境反應中扮演重要的角色。 WRKY transcription factors are a large protein family found in plants. The name of WRKY proteins is derived from their prominent DNA-binding region, designated the WRKY domain, a highly conserved region constituted by about 60 amino acid residues. It has been known that - WRKY transcription factors play important roles in the regulation of genes associated with plant defense responses - but the role of WRKY proteins in abiotic stress responses is still unclear in Arabidopsis thaliana. In this study, we showed that WRKY17, the member of WRKY IId subfamily, could interact with the HD2-type HDAC HD2C. Disruption of WRKY17 rendered plants sensitive to salt. Compared with wrky17.2 and hd2c-1 plants, wrky17.2/hd2c-1 double mutant plants displayed increased salt sensitivity. In addition, the expression of ABA-responsive genes was changed in these mutants. These data suggested that WRKY17 may play a role in abiotic stress responses. |
