摘要: | 雖然台灣與大陸已2009、2010年先後簽署「兩岸金融監理合作瞭解備忘錄」和 「兩岸經濟合作架構協議」,兩岸金融合作預期將更加密切,但大陸早在2001加入WTO,並從2006年底開始對外全面開放其金融市場,從目前發展情況來看,台灣金融業進入大陸的利基正在逐漸消失當中,若不能利用自身的優勢並採取適切的策略,台灣金融業未來在大陸市場的發展機會將可能受限。
有鑑於此,本研究透過學理導引,深入解析外資銀行進入大陸銀行產業的困境與影響成敗的主要因素,並以韓資銀行進行個案分析,歸納外資銀行所採取的大陸市場進入模式與經營策略,期能提供產業背景與品牌知名度相似的台灣銀行業,未來進入大陸銀行產業之參考。 本研究首先根據Porter的五力分析發現,大陸銀行產業內激烈競爭是影響產業獲利的主要因素,欲於此一激烈競爭市場成功,必須創造類似規模銀行間的差異性。其次,本研究發現銀行產業尚未全面國際化,銀行產業的跨國經營仍面臨不同類型的「距離」,銀行因此必須採取本土化、因地制宜、動態調整與整合的策略,藉以縮小經營內涵的距離。此外,運用政府互惠政策之套利策略,能更進一步解決跨國經營的困難,以達到在大陸經營銀行的目的。據此,本研究提出台灣銀行業進入大陸銀行產業之多項策略建議。 Taiwan and Mainland China have signed the ' Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)' and ' Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA)' in 2009 and 2010, respectively. Cross-Strait business relationship is getting closer in the financial sector. However, China has opened her market to foreign banks since its joining with WTO in early 2001 and decisions of financial market deregulation in 2006. Hence, Taiwanese banks would be gradually losing their competitive edge if not taking effective measures to overcome these disadvantages soon. Taking this issue into serious evaluation, the present research applies both industry analysis and regional strategy framework to explore determinants of bank performance in the Mainland China market and how foreign banks could successfully create foothold in this emerging market. We take Hana Bank as a case study to enrich our research observation. First of all, this research found that according to Porter’s five-forces analysis, the key factor which affects the overall profitability in China’s banking industry is severe internal competition, and therefore creating differentiation within the similar-sized banking group becomes a critical factor for success. Besides, to the majority of foreign banks, China’s banking industry and regulation exist different levels of ‘distance’, according to Ghemawat’s CAGE framework, to overcome. Therefore, we suggest future contenders have to consider both adaptation and aggregation strategies in the same time. Moreover, arbitrage strategy based on reciprocity agreement is also useful. Suggestions to Taiwanese banks are also provided. |
