| dc.description.abstract | 目前犬會陰疝氣的病因仍未清楚，推測可能有多因素所影響，如荷爾蒙、老化、排泄問題等。吠叫與咳嗽行為可能造成腹內壓的瞬間增加，而提高骨盆隔膜上之壓力，我們假設其會提升會陰疝氣發生的風險，並影響手術的預後。
實際進行以2004年一月至2010年三月間於臺灣大學附設動物醫院就診並以手術處理的七十三隻會陰疝氣患犬為對象之回溯性研究，分別自病歷紀錄，以及電話訪問畜主來了解患犬的狀況，發現患犬確實有過度吠叫的情形，而吠叫程度亦顯著影響手術的結果。 在其他因子方面，無論是犬隻的年齡、臨床症狀、手術方式、疝氣的狀況等，皆對會陰疝氣的手術預後沒有顯著影響，與之前研究相符。需要注意的是體型較小的犬隻，以及同時發生雙側疝氣、直腸疾病或鼠蹊隱睪的患畜，其手術預後可能較差。 本研究結論過度吠叫可能為造成會陰疝氣發生的風險因子之一，同時會影響手術的結果，當臨床獸醫師與畜主討論會陰疝氣相關治療方向及預後時，需要將犬隻的行為特質一併列入考量。 | zh_TW |
| dc.description.abstract | The events causing a sudden increasing of intra-abdominal pressure like barking and coughing are suspected to increase the loading of pelvic diaphragm, which may lead to perineal herniation. The role of excessive barking and coughing in the development of perineal hernia were surveyed in this study. The present study also attempted to determine the risk factors affecting the prognosis following surgical treatment of perineal hernia. Seventy-three dogs diagnosed as perineal hernia and repaired surgically at the National Taiwan University Veterinary Hospital (NTUVH) from January 2004 to March 2010 were included in this study.
Differences in recurrence, complication rate and surgical outcome after perineal herniorrhaphy are not correlated with patient age, clinical signs, castration, which are compatible with previous studies. For small breeds and patients with bilateral perineal hernia, rectal diseases and inguinal cryptorchidism, a poorer prognosis and more complications after surgical repair may need to discuss with the owner. Excessive barking behavior may be one of the predisposing factors of canine perineal hernia, and can also affect the surgical outcome. | en |
