| zh_TW |
| dc.description.abstract | Gender inequality has an impact on every level of our society: from individual wellbeing to companies' performance to the global economy. This thesis explains why women in leadership are underrepresented and why gender inequalities in the workplace remain a serious issue, within two different socio-cultural contexts: France and Taiwan. This research will include a qualitative approach and a cross-cultural comparison. Interviews were conducted and analyzed using Braun & Clarke (2006) thematic analysis. Our key findings include the various barriers that women face throughout their careers such as gender stereotypes and leadership expectations. We research how those barriers are influenced by the cultural and organizational differences of France and Taiwan. According to the theories studied and the insights of the interview, we reflect on ways to improve the existing solution in order to reduce gender inequality in the workplace. | en |
