dc.description.abstract近年來受惠於地緣政治的變化以及人工智慧的突破,半導體產業重回全球市場的關注焦點,也在需求面、營收面與獲利面取得顯著的擴張。這波的需求來自於國家安全的考量、供應鏈的重組、人工智慧運算需求的推動。然而,在嵌入式半導體市場上的既有公司享受獲利成長的同時,也面臨到來自於其他原本非專注於該市場的半導體公司的競爭威脅。因應這些競爭威脅,嵌入式半導體公司各自以多種策略來因應挑戰。
本論文以嵌入式半導體公司的策略分析為核心,以瑞薩電子為主要研究對象。瑞薩作為在汽車與工業領域具有重要地位的整合元件製造商,展現了在由AI需求所驅動的半導體格局中變革與策略調適的典範。本論文採用質性個案研究方法,以次級資料作為資料來源,運用波特五力分析、VRIO架構、BCG矩陣與成長策略類型等工具,並分析競爭對手英飛凌、恩智浦及意法半導體。研究結果顯示瑞薩在AI應用推動、類比與電源整合電路多元化以及全球擴張上的重視。本論文展示了半導體產業中的整合元件製造商如何維持競爭優勢、追求策略性成長,並如何適應不斷變化的技術與地緣政治環境。

dc.description.abstractGeopolitical issues and Artificial Intelligence (AI) trends have accelerated the expansion of the semiconductor sector recently. Semiconductor companies have continuously benefited from national security, supply chain restructuring, and demands for AI computing. Despite of these benefits, incumbent semiconductor companies also encounter competition from non-market semiconductor companies due to the same impetus. Embedded semiconductor firms have many strategies to tackle challenges.
This thesis presents a strategic analysis of embedded semiconductor companies, with a focus on Renesas Electronics. Renesas, an integrated device manufacturer (IDM) with a significant presence in the automotive and industrial sectors, exemplifies change and strategic adaptation in the AI-driven semiconductor landscape. This thesis employs qualitative case study methodology to conduct secondary research utilizing Porter’s Five Forces, the VRIO framework, the BCG Matrix, and growth strategy typologies. This thesis examines the competitors Infineon, NXP, and STMicroelectronics. The results underscore Renesas’s emphasis on AI facilitation, diversification of analog and power integrated circuits, and global expansion. This thesis demonstrates how IDMs in the semiconductor sector may maintain a competitive edge, pursue strategic growth, and adjust to evolving technological and geopolitical landscapes.
