dc.description.abstractThe global value of the equine industry is about US$300 billion, contributing US$177 billion to the U.S. economy and having an economic impact of US$20 billion in Asia. Star Ease Equestrian Club aims to promote equestrianism in Taiwan by offering an accessible, inclusive, and engaging environment for horse lovers, students, families, and fitness enthusiasts. With competitive pricing and a focus on accessibility, Star Ease offers riding lessons, horse boarding, and event hosting in a convenient location in Taichung City. Through market research, interviews with industry stakeholders, and a detailed analysis of competitors, the club addresses key market gaps in the industry.
The business model emphasizes customer engagement with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for parents and participants. It focuses on building strong partnerships with schools and fitness studios for broader outreach, leveraging event-based strategies and digital campaigns to raise awareness, and collaborating with fashion magazines to promote equestrianism as a stylish lifestyle. A conservative five-year financial projection ensures sustainability, aligning financial goals with stable growth and market demand.
Market research reveals an interest in equestrian sports, especially horse lovers, and among parents looking to develop their children’s hobbies. For the first time last year, the Taiwanese government fully subsidized NT$8 million for horse transportation to the Asian Games, signaling support for the sport. With market growth and barriers being addressed, this niche yet promising market shows potential for success. The initial investment will likely be fully recovered in 12 to 15 years of operation.
