| zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Previous research into patients with schizophrenia shows that they suffer from cognitive impairments which lead to social, academic and vocational dysfunction. As a result, they require long-term treatment which can cause an economic burden. In this thesis we will examine whether it is beneficial to provide early intervention and case management for patients with schizophrenia.
Method: We recruited 151 subjects but only retrieved data from 124 of them. We assessed cognitive function through CPT, WCST, and memory tests. We also assessed positive and negative symptoms using the PANSS assessment tool. Result and Conclusion: We found that the subjects became more proactive by answering stimuli in the CPT and that scores for cognitive function and positive and negative symptoms improved in the second year. As a result, we believe that providing early intervention and case management can bring positive influences on Schizophrenia patients. | en |
