dc.description.abstract本論文調查了台灣和越南建築師對綠色建築材料(GBM)的認識和理解。

This thesis investigates architects' awareness and understanding of green building materials (GBMs) in Taiwan and Vietnam. By using a mixed-methods approach that integrates a questionnaire survey and a semi-structured interview, the research explores architects' perceptions, knowledge gaps, and attitudes toward GBMs. The findings reveal several discrepancies between Taiwanese and Vietnamese architects in terms of perceived and actual knowledge across various dimensions of GBMs adoption from both countries. Moreover, the study identifies key factors influencing these disparities, including regulatory frameworks, market availability, and educational resources.
In addition to highlighting the factors, the research identifies specific barriers to the broad adoption of local GBMs like cost considerations, lack of technical expertise, and client preferences. Building on these insights, the thesis proposes strategies aimed at enhancing awareness and promoting the use of GBMs in architectural practice. These strategies include targeted educational initiatives, policy recommendations to incentivize sustainable material choices, and collaborative efforts to strengthen the GBMs supply chain. By addressing these issues, this research contributes to advancing sustainable architecture in East Asia & Pacific, offering actionable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and educators to foster more sustainable building practices.
