The construction industry has been continuously developing and progressing in terms of technology and materials. The complexity of project execution and implementation has increased significantly. In addition, the adverse conditions of rising prices, labor and material shortages in recent years have highlighted the importance of effective project management. A well-established project management system can ensure that engineering projects are completed on time, within budget, and with the desired quality, all while ensuring safety. In order to facilitate management and reduce risks, large-scale project plans are often divided into several sub-projects for execution and management. Each sub-project is still a complete project and requires a comprehensive project management information system to assist in project management. The results of all sub-projects need to be consolidated and integrated to have a comprehensive understanding of the overall project performance. This study focuses on a multi-level project management information system based on this framework, which includes both project-level and sub-project-level architectures. The sub-project-level provides complete functional modules for data construction and management, while the project-level integrates and aggregates the execution data from the sub-project-level through system functionality. This enables project managers to access comprehensive project information and detailed data from the sub-project level at any time. This study uses the progress management of the construction phase in large-scale project plans as an example. By incorporating actual engineering case data, it verifies the feasibility of the proposed multi-level project management information system and provides a more comprehensive management tool for future large-scale engineering project management. |
