| dc.description.abstract | Rise & Shine is a platform selling women pre-loved clothing operating in Thailand. Rise & Shine was established because of the love for fashion apparel and a desire to make a difference in the world because sustainability is a severe global issue. Rise & Shine is passionate about helping customers understand that the lifespan of clothing is longer. The company is firmly committed to convincing people to consume pre-loved fashion and apparel and realized that overconsumption of clothing creates waste.
Rise & Shine’s target market is women in their, millennials who love to shop for women's clothing. By selling the clothing through Rise & Shine, they can give every item a second chance to shine outside the closet. Furthermore, Rise & Shine wants its customers to consider secondhand clothing first and to discover the value of pre-owned clothing that can deliver a fashionable look at an affordable price. Rise & Shine's business model is distinct from other platforms because we offer a curated selling process to prospective sellers. Rise & Shine handles the entire selling process, allowing sellers to onboard their clothes and receive payment at the end of the month. Most of the business's income comes from commissions deducted from sellers as handling fees and other service charges to facilitate easy sales. Rise & Shine invests 5,000,000 Thai Baht in the business funding by the CEO. Rise & Shine will use the funding primarily to develop the platform, workforce, marketing, advertising, and other necessary expenses. Therefore, Rise & Shine believes that the company will grow healthily and effectively. According to Human Resources, Rise & Shine will hire seven full-time employees to support the business. A part-time job supporting daily operations is also included. Since there aren't many competitors in Thailand offering a comparable service, Rise & Shine believes there is room for growth. Even though there are still competitors, they have only a few months to a year of market experience. In the future, Rise & Shine is considering extending its business to include additional fashion categories like accessories and shoes as it continues to flourish. Moreover, to create a brand-new café concept store where customers can shop for pre-loved clothing while sipping coffee. | en |
