Most of the public's understanding of drama is limited to the performance. Besides, drama can improve the physical and mental condition, adjust the emotional state, and play a healing role by making good use of the elements in drama. Traditional psychotherapy uses language as the main means of expression. But when people have weak language expression ability, such as preschool children or the mentally retarded elderly, who can't entirely rely on language. Instead, it needs to be achieved through action, voice and other forms. Therefore, drama therapy came into being. Various elements in drama can be transformed into techniques, such as role-playing that can be used in drama therapy to achieve non-verbal therapy. Drama expresses in multi forms, this report focuses on two groups. For different types of ethnic groups, to show various elements and characteristics of drama therapy, and to understand the different ethnic groups in the face of drama therapy. One is to choose Theatre De La Sardine and Dr. Rednose. Theatre De La Sardine is good at performing humorous and witty performances that can have a subtle connection with society. This kind of theater work is called clown drama, which usually presents scenes of clowns encountering difficulties and being frustrated repeatedly to make people laugh. However, the biggest characteristic of clowns is that they never give up in face of difficulties, so audiences can get joy and affection through the efforts of clowns when watching performances, which is the most direct healing effect of drama in performances. Dr. Rednose mainly cooperates with hospitals and communities, usually facing medical fields. Therefore, although clown actors and clown doctors use similar dramatic elements, they present through images according to the differences caused by different objects and fields. The other group is Aqua Drama Therapy. The troupe regularly holds drama therapy teacher classes, and also cooperates with resource centers for the physically and mentally handicapped in various districts of government to launch drama programs. In the drama project, members will first share their own life stories, tell their inner entanglements and intractable inner troubles, and then present it through drama. This report interviews the drama therapy team to record how drama therapy occurs, how it works, and what kind of healing effect it achieves. In addition, we also pay attention to the thoughts and feelings of drama therapists in the process and their own changes, further discuss the healing effect of drama on performers, and also explore the way out and possibility of drama therapists as a possible work style for theater performers. |
