摘要: | 本文提出三個以晶格電路架構為基礎製作之共模雜訊濾波器,用來解決高速數位信號的電磁干擾問題。晶格電路是全通電路的一種,它在差模上的響應上為在任何頻段傳輸函數皆為1,但是在共模上等效成共振腔並呈現帶阻響應。雖然在差模的頻域響應上呈現完美的全通,但是由於電路在群延遲上呈現不平坦的非線性響應,在傳輸高速數位訊號時,會讓訊號產生失真並影響訊號完整度(SI)。在本作中提出兩種解決辦法,一種是在差模的電感上加上互感,以及串接群延遲補償電路。不僅如此,在群延遲補償電路加上電阻來吸收反射後的共模雜訊。
本作提出的共模濾波器是以一階以及二階晶格電路架構為基礎並加以改良。一階吸收式共模濾波器抑制頻段為1.8-3 GHz,且電路吸收共模雜訊為雙向吸收,使用IPD製程的大小為1.85×0.84 mm2。 二階晶格電路在只加上互感的條件下就能維持平坦的群延遲響應,因此本作製作了反射式與吸收式的二階晶格共模濾波器。二階反射式濾波器的大小為1.36×0.67 mm2,而吸收式的為1.88×0.73 mm2。這兩種二階濾波器的抑制頻段都在2-3 GHz左右。以上所有種類的共模濾波器都可以在高速環境(10 Gbps)維持信號完整度。 Three common-mode filters (CMFs) based on lattice structure are proposed for eliminating electromagnetic interference (EMI) in high-speed digital systems. The lattice circuit has the all-pass response in differential-mode. In addition, the common-mode equivalent circuit of the lattice circuit is a resonator, which has band-stop response. Although the differential-mode response in lattice circuits is all-pass, the group delay is not flat. Uneven group delay causes distortion in high-speed transmission, which may worsen signal integrity. In this work, we propose two solutions to resolve group delay problem for high-speed digital systems. One is adding mutual inductance, and another is cascading a group delay compensation circuit. Furthermore, the group delay compensation circuit with resistor can be used to absorb reflective common-mode noises. The proposed CMF designs are based on 1st order and 2nd order lattice circuits. The 1st order lattice absorptive CMF has common-mode suppression bandwidth at 1.8-3 GHz and bidirectional noises absorption, and the size is only 1.85×0.84 mm2 on IPD process. The 2nd order lattice CMF can work alone without group delay compensation at high-speed transmission. Therefore, we propose the reflective type and absorptive type 2nd order CMFs. The size of reflective common-mode filter (RCMF) is 1.36×0.67 mm2, and the absorptive common-mode filter (ACMF) is 1.88×0.73 mm2. Both of them have common-mode suppression band at about 2-3 GHz. All the proposed CMFs can support high-speed transmission at 10-Gbps data rate. |
