Abstract: | 本論文提出二種印刷式雙極化毫米波天線並進一步將其整合成微型印刷式多波束雙極化毫米波天線。吾人首先討論了多輸入多輸出與天線分集的優勢及其對於次世代行動通訊的重要性。論文提出了設計在印刷電路板的背覆共振腔之高隔離度雙埠槽孔天線和準八木偶極天線。這兩種型態天線皆有著寬頻、單一方向輻射、高增益、高效率之特色。我們整合兩個不同極化的天線在印刷電路板同一面積上,使得尺寸顯著縮小。接著再提出了相控陣列天線,增加訊號雜訊比以達到波束成形技術。另外,更進一步提出結合正向輻射天線與側向輻射天線之微型印刷式雙極化多波束天線。此設計之天線特別適合在毫米波行動通信整合多輸入多輸出系統之複合式波束成形應用。 This thesis presents two kinds of printed dual-polarized antennas with a maximum radiation in the broadside direction and the end-fire direction, respectively. Furthermore, an integrated design of compact dual-polarized multi-beam antenna is proposed for millimeter-wave (mmW) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) applications. The advantages of massive MIMO and antenna diversity technology are discussed, where the key factors in future cellular communication are emphasized. A dual-polarized aperture antennas with a backed cavity for the broadside radiation is presented, followed by a dual-polarized quasi-Yagi antennas for the end-fire radiation operation. Both of the proposed antennas are designed on PCB with features of unidirectional pattern, high gain, and high efficiency. By the dual-polarized design, we integrated the antennas of two different polarizations into the same area, leading to a 50% size reduction. A 41 phased array antenna is also presented for the beamforming technology, specifically for the enhanced signal to noise ratio (SNR) and the steerable radiation patterns. Additionally, we also proposed an integrated design combining the broadside radiation antenna and the end-fire radiation antenna in a very compact volume. The proposed compact printed dual-polarized multi-beam antenna is very suitable for mmW mobile communications with MIMO systems of hybrid beamforming. |
