摘要: | 藉由設計液晶盒中的電極結構,產生有效且均勻的水平電場,可以有效地降低顯示器的運作電壓,並提升顯示器的整體穿透率。
本論文由藍相液晶的介紹開始,當中完整的描述了藍相液晶的特性以及發展,隨後也介紹了各種不同類型顯示器的運作模式,以方便讀者可以更加清楚且順利的參考後面的內容。透過文獻回顧我們介紹了近幾年優秀的藍相液晶顯示器設計,並介紹這些設計當中的巧思與運作模式,並記取當中設計的優缺點以利往後在設計時可以更加的順利。並詳細介紹本論文當中所使用的商用模擬軟體:Techwiz ,透過從最初步的液晶參數設定到電極Layout的設計,使得整個模擬設計的內容可以更加清楚。而在最後講解了本論文設計結構的概念,以及結構參數改變之下的數據變化,並清楚地展現了光電曲線重合的條件,在具備對於本論文結構設計當中的概念與了解後,便展示了我們模擬出來最優化的數據,以供讀者參考。 一種全新電極設計的穿反式藍相液晶顯示器在本論文中提出,透過改變基板形狀以及垂直電極的設計,提供了液晶盒中均勻且強大的水平電場,以降低結構的運作電壓,並且透過反射式電極改善了原本電極上方的Dead-Zone問題,順利地提高了整體的出光效率,展示了一個擁有低運作電壓以及高穿透率和反射率的穿反式顯示器。 By designing the electrode structure in the LC cell, it can generate a strong horizontal electric field to effectively reduce the operating voltage and increase the optical efficiency. First we start by introducing the characteristic and developing of blue phase liquid crystal crystals. After the introduction of blue phase liquid crystal, we introduce all kinds of display operation mechanism to let reader understand the later content easily. Through the literature review, we introduce some excellent designs of blue phase liquid crystal displays and their design ingenuity. By doing this procedure, we can understand the advantages and disadvantages of these designs to make the simulation work more effectively. And we introduce the commercial software: Techwiz LCD, which is our simulation tool. From the initial liquid crystal material setting up to electrode layout design make the entire simulation design content more clear. At the end of thesis, we explain the concept of the structure design and the data variation under changes of structure parameters. Also the conditions of the photo-electric curve match are clearly demonstrated. After understanding of the structure design in this thesis, we simulate the optimized data for your reference. A transflective blue-phase liquid crystal display with new electrode structure is proposed. It can provide a uniform and powerful horizontal electric field by changing the shape of the substrate and the vertical electrode design to reduce the operating voltage. Reflective electrode improves the Dead-Zone problem above the electrode and improves the overall efficiency of the light. |
