| zh_TW |
| dc.description.abstract | Taiwanese abalone is a kind of economically valuable shellfish in aquaculture. In recent years, the production and culture area have increased rapidly in Taiwan. The feed is mainly of Gracilaria. However, the quality and quantity are influenced by the environment conditions, that is the control of their quality and quantity is exceeding difficult. Therefore, its urgent to search in the feed to meet its nutritional requirements. This study divided into two parts. Experiment I is conducted to investigate the influence on the growth of Taiwanese abalone by supplemented of microalgal meal (Chlorella, Nannochloropsis, Spiralina) and macroalgal meal (Gracilaria, Ulva, Undaria, Lamilaria). Experiment II is to study on the growth of different sources of protein, optimum Spirulina and Gracilaria requirement of Taiwanese abalone. Results are as follows: 1. In Experiment I, The growth of 35% Spirulina meal diet was the best among the experimental diets. 2. In experiment II, Taiwanese abalone fed diet 5 which was supplemented with fish meal and soybean meal (22 and 35%) grew faster than diets casein, fish meal and soybean meal. 3. In Experiment II, the growth of 15% Spirulina meal group was better than that of 25% and 35% Spirulina meal groups, although 15% Spirulina meal group protein levels was 20%. 4. The optimum Gracilaria requirement was 10% in diet. 5. The amount of taste amino acid (Alanine, Glycine, Glutamate and Arginine) of free amino acid in the muscle of artificial diets were higher than that of fresh Gracilaria. These results suggest that effect on the growth of Taiwanese abalone by supplemented of 5-15% Spirulina meal in artificial diets were the best. | en |
