dc.description.abstract本研究的目的在於探討我國大學圖書館使用國外西文期刊代理商的情形和國外西文期刊代理商在我國的經營現況及發展方向,以提供我國大學圖書館選擇和評鑑國外西文期刊代理商的參考,並增進我國大學圖書館與國外西文期刊代理商間的瞭解與合作。本研究以問卷調查法為主要研究方法,普查我國二十七所大學圖書館及五家國外西文期刊代理商,回收率分別為92.6%和100%,以統計軟體(SAS)進行統計工作,所用的資料分析方法是次數分配及百分比。
研究結果顯示,我國大學圖書館西文期刊採購作業行政隸屬不一致;我國大學圖書館西文期刊採購主要管道是國外西文期刊代理商;我國大學圖書館西文期刊採購經費佔資料採購總經費的比例頗高;我國大學圖書館使用國外西文期刊代理商的主要目的是為了節省人力與時間、簡化作業、以及獲致較好的服務;我國大學圖書館很少訂定書面的代理商選擇政策,但仍依循特定因素選擇國外西文期刊代理商;我國大學圖書館多數定期評鑑國外西文期刊代理商的服務績效;我國大學圖書館對國外西文期刊代理商的服務傾向滿意;跨國性大型期刊代理商佔有我國大學圖書館西文期刊訂購大部份市場;發展自動化服務項目是國外西文期刊代理商未來的主要競爭策略;我國大學圖書館與國外西文期刊代理商問溝通有待加強。
根據研究結果提出以下建議:一圖書館應該設立期刊單位或專人負責西文期刊採購作業,並清楚釐定其行政隸屬;二、圖書館應該訂定書面的期刊代理商選擇政策;三、圖書館應該研究各種採購方式的可行性,並爭取上級和會計單位支持其採購方案;四、圖書館應該組成用戶群交換期刊採購經驗;五、國外西文期刊代理商應該加強提供我國圖書館自動化方面的服務;六、國外西文期刊代理商應該加強對我國圖書館的服務推廣與溝通。
