| dc.description.abstract | 資訊的日新月異，與文教預算逐年增加的因素促使下，圖書館館藏量在有限的藏書空間中快速成長，使圖書館面臨到空間不足的問題，雖然館藏成長是必然之趨勢，也必須符合滿足讀者需求與館藏發展目標的前提，而非盲目地膨脹與擴充，一旦館藏中有罕用或不再被讀者使用的圖書，應藉由淘汰工作該將其排除於館藏之外；在各館逐漸重視館藏發展與經營管理的今日，圖書館確實有必要憑藉館藏淘汰來解決空間不足的問題，並保持館藏的活力與生機，更進一步提昇館藏的使用率與對讀者的服務品質。 本研究主要目的在於調查臺灣地區大學暨獨立學院圖書館實施館藏淘汰之現況，並探討新科技對淘汰工作的影響，與目前淘汰所面臨的問題。本研究採用問卷法輔以電話訪談的方式，分別對臺灣地區五十九所大學暨獨立學院圖書館，六十個調查對象進行問卷調查，回收五十六份有效問卷，有效回收率達到93.33％。回收問卷資料配合統計套裝軟體SAS作次數分配、算術平均數、與相關分析，並依據各變項特性與圖書館類型、館齡、藏書量、及館舍面積進行分析比較。 本研究結果發現： 一、目前圖書館實施館藏淘汰工作的情形仍不理想； 二、破損、複本、或內容陳舊的圖書是淘汰工作的主體； 三、圖書館最常以典藏組或流通閱覽組主導，其他單位配合的任務分組方式來進行館藏淘汰； 四、圖書館對複本書的控制有待加強； 五、教師參與淘汰工作的項目多為「對待淘汰圖書做最後審查」； 六、圖書館彼此間並未有合作儲存的關係； 七、光碟是圖書館轉存印刷資料的首要選擇； 八、圖書館自動化可以精簡館藏淘汰工作； 九、圖書館傾向以「建築新館或擴充舊館」方案取代館藏淘汰； 十、圖書館不會因為「註銷手續煩瑣」或「書是花錢購買捨不得淘汰」的因素而降低淘汰意願。 根據本研究結果，針對臺灣地區大學暨獨立學院圖書館提出以下幾項建議，以供提高淘汰效率、建立淘汰制度與政策之參考： 一、落實館藏淘汰，制定書面淘汰政策； 二、成立汰書典藏中心，建立圖書館合作儲存觀念； 三、修改財產管理辦法，將圖書淘汰予以合法化； 四、將淘汰列入圖書館評鑑項目之中； 五、加強圖書的管理控制； 六、提昇館員的專業學識能力與讀者服務觀念。 | zh_TW |
