| dc.description.abstract | 新知服務為透過新書展示、新知通報、期刊傳閱、期刊目次服務、索引摘要、專題選粹服務等方式，針對讀者的需求與興趣，定期提供讀者最新資訊之服務。本論文乃就期刊目次服務及專題選粹服務兩項，調查國內醫學圖書館新知服務現況及其面臨之問題。符合研究範圍之醫學圖書館共十四所，包括醫學院圖書館五所及醫院圖書館九所。 研究結果顯示，在期刊目次服務方面，各館服務對象以醫師及教師為主；服務多以人工方式進行，半數已有數年之服務經驗；資料類型中西文期刊皆有，以郵寄、通知領取或公文傳遞方式提供讀者；費用項目主要為影印及郵寄，多由讀者付費；負責人員多須兼顧其他館務，普遍缺乏醫學背景；多館未曾進行使用者調查。在專題選粹服務方面，目前只有成功大學醫學院圖書分館及陽明醫學院圖書館實施；對象為醫師及教師；實施至今1至2年；均使用電腦查尋MEDLINE光碟資料庫進行服務，但版本不同；提供讀者之資料僅限於MEDLINE之書目及部份摘要；以主題為單位計費；負責人員背景為圖書館學；服務對館藏利用之影響難以評估；讀者多缺乏使用醫學標題之觀念。 根據研究結果，建議未實施新知服務之各館加強對新知服務之瞭解，逐步嘗試實施期刊目次或專題選粹服務；就已實施新知服務之各館而言，建議：一、定期進行讀者調查；二、加強館員專業知識及醫學背景；三、擴大服務之資料類型；四、發表服務成果，供他館參考；五、加強館際合作，研究新知服務相關問題。 | zh_TW |
