| zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to explore children's decision-making competency in the context of peer-selection, parental separation, and determine the association between children's decision-making competency in simulated peer-selection and a parental separation situation.. We examined four components of decision-making competency: choice expression, understanding, reasoning and appreciation. The study found that for the four components, children of all age groups could demonstrate the ability to make decisions, but there were some age differences in the number and content of reasons provided for their decisions. In addition, there was a correlation between decision-making performance in peer-selection and parental separation. And there was a correlation between decision-making performance in hypothetical dilemmas and actual scenarios in the context of peer-selection. The results provide insight for significant practical applications. | en |
