In recent years, the Japanese government has actively opened up foreign talents to work in Japan and proposed related policies such as relaxing the restrictions of application for the permanent resident visa. On the other hand, the number of international students in Japan has exceeded 300,000 in 2018. With Japanese language skills and life experiences, international students are targeted by Japanese companies. Despite having the opportunity to enter a Japanese company, each international student has different reasons for whether or not to stay in Japan. In this research, we focus on the effects of Cross-Cultural Adjustments and Social Supports on Taiwanese students' intention to work in Japan after graduation. In terms of research methods, a questionnaire was conducted on Taiwanese students who are currently studying in Japan. A total of 297 responses were collected and the number of valid samples was 285. Statistical methods such as descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and ordinal logistic regression are used to validate the research hypotheses. The results of this research are as follows: (1) “General Adjustment” and “Interactive Adjustment”, the dimensions of Cross-Cultural Adjustment, have a significant positive influence on intention to work in Japan. (2) “Emotional Support”, “Informational Support” and “Instrumental Support”, the dimensions of Social Support, have no significant influence on intention to work in Japan. |
