並導入TOD( Transit Oriented Development)及多模式交通轉乘系統樞紐(multi-modal hub.) Stations are the carriers of urban space memories, and they are also the best representation of the time course moving from traditional culture toward a new future era for the local residents. For a long time, urban railways have had a great impact on urban development. Due to the long-term interruption by the railway cutting through the city, the city's traffic network cannot be smoothly connected. In particular, the divisions of the front and rear station areas lead to the incoherence of the urban activity system as well as make the surrounding areas seem old and blighted. The implausible city appearance makes a negative influence on urban landscape and overall development of the region. It is expected to reorganize the urban texture of each city and effectively enhance the surrounding areas’ development by examining the relationship of modern stations, the field and the transfer system as well as by analyzing the design criteria optimization. This thesis summarizes the national and international design criteria via analysis of the railway design criteria, analyzes the differences from the roles of passengers, the public and operators served by the main space functions of the stations, and reviews the basis of the current railway station design criteria. Through the optimization of design criteria, a revised criteria is proposed for designing future stations. On the other hand, the comprehensive professional thinking is provided for the best station space functions and creates opportunities to increase the profits of railway operations, generating the supply and demand of local residents’ life style as well as offering benefits such as seamless traffic transfer systems and so on. In this thesis, the combination of TOD (Transit Oriented Development) design concept and multi-modal transport hub is also introduced. With this concept, the unique landscape of the region and the station open plaza will be closely integrated, which will not only fulfill the requirements for relieving transferring crowds in the station, but also make the station as the urban living room for local cultural events, business events, eco-leisure activities and public gatherings. A new city plaza and an accessible station building will be created. |
