Abstract: | 本文試圖以 2012 年由 CMS 偵測器採取的 19.98 fb−1 質心能量 8 兆電子伏特質子對撞資料,於 B± → K∗(892)±μ+μ− 衰變途徑進行角分佈量測。此衰變的角分佈可由渺子前後不對稱 (AFB) 及 K∗(892)± 介子縱向極化 (FL) 描述,兩者均為渺子對不變質量平方 (m2μμ) 的函數。在目標量測範圍 1 < m2μμ < 19(十億電子伏特平方) 內,量得 88.8 ± 13.0 個訊號事件,給出渺子不對稱性0.19 +0.11~−0.08(stat.) ± 0.11(syst.)、K∗(892)± 介子縱向極化為 0.71 +0.11~−0.08(stat.) ± 0.07(syst.)、K∗(892)±。在量測全域及子區間內的角分佈參數,其誤差範圍均包含粒子物理標準模型的理論預測結果。 Angular distribution of B+ → K∗+μ+μ− decay is studied using the 19.98fb−1 proton–proton collision data at a center–of–mass energy of 8TeV collected with the CMS detector in 2012. The muon forward–backward asymmetry, AFB, and the K∗+(892)(→ KSπ+) longitudinal polarization, FL, are measured as a function of dimuon invariant mass squared(m2μμ) in the domain of 1 < m2μμ < 19. From 88.8 ± 13.0 signal events, the measured AFB is 0.19 +0.11~-0.08(stat.) ±0.11(syst.) and measured FL is 0.71 +0.11~−0.08(stat.) ±0.07(syst.). Either the measured values in the whole domain agree or −0.08 that in a subdomain agrees with the standard model predictions within uncertainty. |
