| zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | There are many addictive clinical experts and policy appeals that should redefine the definition and goals of the recovery of alcohol and substance users and as 'awake, health and well-being and the exercise of citizenship.' According to this definition, the purpose of this study is: (1) to understand the effect of drug users in recovering such as their gender, age, health status, social status, relationship, recovery capital, and recovery; (2) to exploring the impact of recovery capital to barriers and recovery of drug users.
This is the quantitative study and with IRB approval by Reserch Ethics Office of National University. The researcher collect 197 questionnaires through 7 units and 221 questionnaires online. Finally, 388 valid questionnaires were included. Three main results as below: (1) the stigma and trauma would reduce the quality of life of drug users, but be unrelated to sobriety; (2) the higher of the recovery capital of drug users, the higher quality of life and sobriety of them; (3) recovery capital would moderator stigma and sobriety significantly, and according to the interaction diagram and simple slope analysis, the study had found recovery capital could increase sobriety of drug users, when they had lower stigma. Conclusions: (1) trauma and stigma have different affect to quality of life and sobriety, it shows recovery presents diversity phenomenon and relationship between different barriers to recovery. It shows multiple recovery element should be measure and explore instead of a single definition of recovery; (2) positive recovery capital shows not only the positive relationship to recovery (including of QOL and sobriety), but also moderator the impact to stigma and sobriety significantly; (3) the impact of social expectations and data collection should be considered, and offer a safer way to drug users might improve the credibility of the data. | en |
