This study aims to investigate women and children labor issues within Myanmar garment industry. Throughout Myanmar history, women and children of Myanmar entered the labor market due to unfavorable circumstances, such circumstances range from poor general infrastructure, unclear economic policy, and isolation from external assistance outside Myanmar. Current situation of Myanmar women and children labor suggest a high level of vulnerability by being exploited by those with power. Children and women of Myanmar are positioned facing a high degree of uncertainty concerning their future because of poor working conditions and absence of human rights within the garment industry. It is necessary for Myanmar women and children to be empowered with strong labor rights in order to obtain solid, fair and legal protection in the garment industry of Myanmar.zh_TW
