摘要: | The thesis includes three major topics. Two parts of design and finite element analysis (FEA) simulation on central detector of JUNO. The other is the doing tensile test on connection node prototype and comparing strain, stress data with simulation results.
The first topic is an introduction and discussion of the whole architecture design of JUNO experiment, by using finite element method to do simulation in connection with the whole central detector design. ANSYS and COMSOL was used to compare results with each other to make sure the objective of our conclusion. The second topic is about after determined the overall design of the central detector, we have to concern about the detail design, the part I concerned is the connection support node between the acrylic sphere and truss structure. In this topic I will present our design and simulation results that whether this node structure can sustain a certain tensile strength in our tensile test. The third topic is about constructing the prototype of connection node which cooperated with Mr. Yang of Nakano International Co., Ltd. and actually did two times of tensile tests on four prototypes to compare the measuring stress and strain data with simulation results in the second part. This topic includes the method and tools that we used to do the data taking, data reconstruction and data analysis, for instance, Arduino board for AD signal conversion, Wheatstone bridge including an amplifier for the circuit of measuring voltage signal when strain occurs and root for data fitting and calibration. |
