唐代小說中唐玄宗形象之塑造及其演變

Abstract

本論文探討唐代小說中唐玄宗形象之塑造及其演變，以自玄宗統治時期始，至唐末的小說為討論對象，分析當中的玄宗形象及變化情形。有別於前人之處，乃以唐代小說的分期為中心，探討盛唐、中唐和晚唐不同時期小說中，玄宗形象如何形成、演變，最終成為今日人們所熟悉的樣貌。 本論文共分五章。第一章緒論，說明研究動機、文獻回顧，研究方法與範圍。第二章分析盛唐小說中的玄宗形象，考察玄宗形象形成初始的樣貌，及其形象經過安史之亂後的變化，並探討其改變的關鍵及影響。第三章探討中唐小說中的玄宗形象，藉由分析多篇文本，可發現此時為玄宗形象大致建立及固定的時期。第四章探討晚唐小說中的玄宗形象，討論晚唐對於中唐玄宗形象的繼承及擴寫。第五章結論，說明本研究成果。

This thesis examines the making and shifting of the image of Tang Xuanzong in the fiction of Tang Dynasty, ranging from the reign of Tang Xuanzong to the dynasty's late years. This piece of research differs from previous studies in that it centers on the periodization of Tang Dynasty's fiction to discuss how the image of Tang Xuanzong is established, developed, and comes to be what the reader is familiar with nowadays, throughout three different periods of the dynasty: High Tang, Mid-Tang and late Tang. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first part, introduction, explains my research motivation and includes literature review, methodology and the limits of the research. The second chapter seeks to analyze Tang Xuanzong's image in High Tang's fiction and to investigate the image's earliest stage and the causes to its changes after the turning point of the An Lushan Rebellion. Chapter 3 focuses on Tang Xuanzong's image in Mid-Tang's novel. Through the analysis of various texts, I discover that Xuanzong's image is roughly established and fixated in this period. The inherited and expanded characterization of Tang Xuanzong in late-Tang’s fiction is discussed in Chapter 4. Last, my conclusion and research results are presented in the fifth chapter.
