dc.description.abstract婚姻對健康的影響是人口學和家庭社會學研究的重要議題。然而,多數婚姻狀態對死亡風險之影響效應的研究,並未處理婚姻選擇效果,或是處理方式未能有效校正婚姻選擇性所產生的估計偏誤。且過去研究受限於調查時間,未能蒐集受訪者婚姻的動態變化性,因而可能產生「婚姻狀態對死亡風險影響」的估計偏誤。為突破上述研究限制,本研究著重於婚姻保護論的觀點,排除或校正婚姻選擇性的影響,並以婚姻的動態變化為觀察,以1989年至2007年「台灣地區中老年身心社會生活狀況長期追蹤調查」(Taiwan Longitudinal Study on Aging;簡稱TLSA)六波資料及其個案存活檔進行實證分析,以瞭解臺灣中老年的婚姻狀態對死亡風險的影響。採用反事實因果推論法(counterfactual model of causality),並使用處理機率倒數加權法(IPTW)與限控機率倒數加權法(IPCW)排除或校正婚姻選擇性與存活研究資料限控的問題,以邊際結構之Cox 比例風險迴歸模型,以釐清中老年的婚姻狀態對其健康的影響(以死亡風險為測量),並闡釋婚姻保護效果的真相。
  主要研究發現分別為:研究分析發現:一、在未處理婚姻選擇效果時,中老年中已婚者的死亡風險較離婚、喪偶者小;二、經校正調整婚姻選擇性效果後,中老年已婚者仍有較低的死亡風險,但其死亡風險比與未校正前者有所不同;三、不論是男性樣本或女性樣本,皆發現中老年已婚者死亡風險較小。故「婚姻保護論」在台灣中老年的群體中獲得支持。未來婚姻與健康研究除仍需處理選擇性問題外,可考慮應用反事實因果推論法,回應婚姻健康效益因果推論所面臨的問題。
