摘要: | 從消費級產品至工業設備,三維場景資料的估測或偵測需求增加,深度估測成為近年來相當熱門的研究主題之一,而其多元應用也隨之高度發展,如機器人導航、虛擬實境(Virtual Reality)、姿態估測(Pose Estimation)、3D列印等,都需要深度資訊,如何快速且精確的得到深度資訊就是本文的主要目標。
當我們使用傳統相機進行場景拍攝時,在當下其實只記錄了一小部分的光線資訊,而這樣的少量資訊使得我們很難在事後對已成像的內容進行修改或重組,相對地,四維光場則是收集了現有場景下的大多數光線資訊,而本文則是基於這些豐富資訊下進行深度估測。在我們所提出的演算法中結合了Epipolar Plane Image 分析與基於馬可夫隨機場(Markov Random Fields)的圖像分割技術,並利用我們所設計的新型濾波器進行結合而得到深度資訊。我們將此算法套用至四組不同的光場資料進行評估,其效率與準確性明顯優於近年內兩篇指標性著作上的成果,同時,我們為了改善偵測距離過短的問題,在文末提出了一個新型的硬體架構,其實作結果展現了此架構在未來擁有相當高的潛力與發展性。 Depth estimation has been a highly popular research topic for decades, and its various applications also promote the development of this area. From the consumer market to the industrial field, there are a lots of requirements for detecting or estimating the world in three dimensions and the distance of an object, and how to determine the depth with 2D imaging is our main topic in this paper. When we use a traditional camera to capture a photograph, we actually only record a part of the light information in that moment. The result of the imaging cannot be modified but light fields is the technique that tries to record the missing information. We review the related works about the depth estimation and focus on the algorithms based on the light field photography and develop a novel framework, combing epipolar plane image analysis and image segmentation with a specific filter. Our algorithm is applied to four different sources of light field data, and two previous works are introduced to compare with our approach. The results show that our method has better accuracy, efficiency and more robust than the other works. We also propose a new experiment setup to explore outdoor applications, and our implementation shows that this proposal has great potential in numerous scientific domains. |
