摘要: | 相較於變焦鏡頭的複雜構造,定焦鏡頭的構造簡單、體積小、影像清晰,這使的它們成為手機相機的主流選擇。相對的,這也代表著絕大多數手機都完全沒有光學變焦能力,只能依靠犧牲影像品質的數位變焦,造成使用上的不便。
這篇論文提出方法以雙定焦鏡頭的配置處理此問題。在手機上設置兩個焦距一長一短的定焦鏡頭,可直接拍攝兩張Zoom-in與Zoom-out效果的影像。我們提出的演算法以短焦距影像為基底,並將長焦距影像的高頻資料轉移至其上,合成介於兩相機焦距之間任意焦距的影像,以此方式模擬雙相機間的連續變焦。 我們使用工業相機組合了一個原型雙相機系統用以拍攝實驗資料。實驗影像結果證明,我們的演算法在有長焦距影像覆蓋的區域能獲得非常清晰銳利的影像結果。無覆蓋範圍若我們有可用的影像材料,也可達到比A+單影像超解析演算法更佳的結果,若否,透過切換演算法,我們最終的影像結果不會差於A+超解析演算法。 Compared to the complex zoom-lens cameras, the fix-focal-length cameras are lighter, more compact, and are able to capture sharper images because of their structural simplicity. These qualities make them the choice for most smartphones in the market. But using fix-focal-length lens also means that these smartphone cameras can not do any zooming without sacrificing the image quality, which is an inconvenience for users. In this thesis, we propose a way to improve the zooming ability of smartphone cameras with the dual-camera setup. With two fix-focal-length cameras (one with short focal length, the other with long focal length) on the device, we are able to capture zoomed-in and zoomed-out images directly. And with our proposed algorithm, we can generate the image of any intermediate focal-length by using the short-focal-length image as a base, and then transferring high-frequency data of the long-focal-length image on it. We built a prototype camera system with two industrial cameras to capture our test data. Results of our experiments show that our method can generate excellent images at the area that is covered by the long-focal-length image, and for the non-covered area, depending on the image content, we can generate results that are better or as good as A+'s results. |
