dc.description.abstract | 近年來,許多食品安全問題引起了公眾的關注,但是實際風險與公眾認知的風險之間卻存在落差,造成社會恐慌或輕忽某些高風險的議題,做出不恰當的決策。風險感知解釋了大眾如何看待特定風險,為何某些風險會被高估而另一些去會被低估,以及哪些因素會影響人們的感知。 日常生活中,我們高度依賴塑料產品的使用。塑膠微粒是食品和環境中的常見污染物,它們是5毫米以下的小塑料顆粒,此一環境汙染物如今已廣泛地存在於環境中,並藉由食物及飲水進入並累積於人體中,不僅逐漸受到學者和科學家的關注,更引起一般民眾的憂慮。儘管缺乏具體的證據表明暴露於塑膠微粒對人體健康有不利影響,由於證據顯示塑膠微粒早已在食物和水中的大量存在,因此人們對於這種新發現的物質還是存有疑慮。 風險感知是風險溝通和管理的第一步。本研究旨在確定風險感知的心理因素,包括自願性、控制性、知識性、時機性、嚴重性、收益性、新穎性和切實性,此研究以臺灣大學生及研究生為研究對象,將參與者的背景如性別、年齡、研究領域等也一併納入考慮,我們研究了這些因素如何影響受試者對塑膠微粒的風險感知。這項研究的結果將說明公眾對塑膠微粒的風險認知,並希望藉此提高大學生及研究生對此議題的關注。 | zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | Many food safety issues have raised public attention in recent years, yet the mismatch between actual risks and their public perceptions leads to poor social perception or decision-makings. Through risk perception, we can briefly investigate how society views specific risks, why certain risks are highly estimated, and which factors affect people is perception. We highly rely on the use of plastic products since the 1970s. A new problem regarding plastics has emerged and has gradually received attention from academics and scientists: Microplastics. Microplastics are common pollutant in food and environments. They are small plastic particles under 5 mm, divided into primary and secondary microplastics. Despite a lack of concrete evidence of the adverse effect of microplastics exposure on human health, people are highly concerned about this newly discovered substances in our environment, food and water. Risk perception is the first step in risk communication and management. This study aims to identify the psychological factors of risk perception, including voluntariness, control, knowledge, timing, severity, benefit, novelty, and tangibility. Participants’ background such as gender, age, field of study are also taken into consideration. Using statistical regression analysis, we research on how these factors affect people is risk perception of microplastics. The result of this research will briefly illustrate the public concern about microplastics exposure and provide recommendations for further policy decision. | en |
