dc.description.abstract摘要

Abstract
This thesis mainly discusses the source and the intention of the Taiwan populism. Firstly, we must put emphasis on the academic concept of the populism is median. Populism and populist actions can produce threat and strength effect to modern democracy. From the Positive side , populism can strengthen and improve the loss of democratic politics and parliamentary system ; from the negative side , populism will make the threat to liberal democracy and constitutional human rights. However, the past academic discussions only focus on the political elites. The academic discussions about the mass do not exist. If the populism mass is very few, how can the political elites make the populism actions to increase their political interests? Thus, we want through the Taiwan empirical statistical data to find the populism mass of Taiwan is real or not.
