摘要: | 自从中国政府在2004年对外资企业开放投资以来,中国的物流产业经历了爆炸性的成长,也因此为相关的物流企业提供了绝佳的商业机会。然而由于历史的原因,中国的物流运作效率仍远低于其它已开发的国家。对于新进的外资物流企业,由于进入时间较晚,究竟应如何布局方能够快速的建立滩头堡并扩大营运规模,将是最重要的课题。
本论文提出一套有系统的产业分析方法,以协助外资企业订定在中国的成长策略。关于产业分析的方法,本论文采用了六力分析和价值网络模型为工具,分析了物流产业的竞争态势、环境变化的状况与价值网络内的成员之间互动方式,期望对其背后的决策逻辑有适当的了解,并据此提出崭新的经营模式。除此之外,本论文也以一家外资物流企业为例,采用此系统化的方式做出了相关分析,并依此提出相关的建议。 相信本论文所提出的方法,不但可协助外资企业的主管们清楚的分析该公司目前的战略态势,也同时可以帮助主管们经由改变游戏规则,以大幅度的提升公司的竞争力与获利能力。 NAME:Lawrence Ger MONTH/YEAR:June, 2010 ADVISER:Yi-Lung Jaw TITLE:Accessing the Growth Strategy of Foreign Third Party Logistics Firms in China: An Industrial Structure Approach Purpose – Aims to develop an industrial structure approach to help third-party logistics (3PL) providers in developing their winning strategy in Mainland China. Design/methodology/approach – A heuristic approach by using six forces analysis and value net model to develop business strategy for foreign 3PLs in Mainland China. One selected foreign 3PL has been used as an example. Findings – Identified the environmental factors, current position and game rules of foreign 3PLs providers in Mainland China. Develop future strategy by changing the way to play the game and to cope with the intense competition faced in Mainland China's immense logistics markets. Research limitations/implications – Due to the fact that most updated market information is difficult to collect, not all the data collected in this thesis are the most recent ones. Those market data collected from various sources may not consistent with each other. Practical implications – This study suggests a very helpful tool for foreign 3PLs to review their current strategy position and base on the findings to develop wining strategy in Mainland China. It provides guidance for 3PLs executives to formulate logistics strategy, to adjust business objectives and to prioritize operations in Mainland China. Originality/value – This study proposes an industrial structure approach in helping foreign 3PL to develop their winning strategy in China. All practitioners in China can benefit from this study and use this approach to develop their own wining strategy. |
