| dc.description.abstract | 自1987年政府開放大學設立後,大學校數年年上升,大學生人數逐年提高。大學生人數增加,使社會對高等教育產生過於浮濫的疑慮。然而大學生人數增多,對於整體社會究竟有何影響?我們認為當國民教育程度提高,對社會的益處應遠高於壞處。本文以分析大學以上人口比例與犯罪率間關係為例,說明當國民教育程度提升時可有效降低犯罪率。本文採用1992-2006年台灣縣市別追蹤資料(panel data),使用固定效果模型(fixed-effects model)進行分析。結果發現當18歲以上人口中大學以上人口比例每上升1%,能有效將低財產犯罪人口率8.44%與暴力犯罪人口率2.61%。接著我們將樣本劃分為24歲以上已接受高等教育人口與18-23歲正接受高等教育人口進行分析。研究發現24歲以上人口中大學以上人口比例每上升1%,能顯著降低財產犯罪人口率8.58%與暴力犯罪人口率3.22%。而將分析目標限定在18-23歲青年人口時,我們發現青年大學以上人口比例每增加1%,能降低青年財產犯罪人口率6.6%與暴力犯罪人口率2.41%。本文證明提升國民高等教育程度能有效降低犯罪率,且教育程度對於財產犯罪的影響力高於暴力犯罪。 | zh_TW |
