培里．安德森的新左派思想

Abstract

本論文以英國左翼學者培里・安德森為研究對象。安德森不但是在英國新左佔有重要地位，其本身亦為出色的歷史學者，由於台灣國內對於馬克思主義等方面的研究尚有許多發展空間，由其衍生而來的其他學者、事件與理論亦同，對於英國新左運動更是如此。因此本文希望能夠在這方面起到拋磚引玉的作用，將安德森的理論與研究方法引介進中文學界，提供左翼研究另一種視野。 由於目前對安德森進行專門研究的資料並不多，主要有布萊克立祺（Paul Blackledge）《培里•安德森，馬克思主義與新左派》（Perry Anderson, Marxism and the New Left, 2004）與艾略特（Gregory Elliott）《培里•安德森：悲慘的歷史實驗室》（Perry Anderson: The Merciless Laboratory of History, 1998）兩本專書，以及林春（Lin Chun）對英國新左運動的研究《英國新左派》（The English New Left, 1993），由這三本著作構成本文的主要架構，並以安德森的文章資料為輔。 本文的主要目的，在於試圖從安德森涉獵廣泛的著作中尋得其核心觀點，即「要創造未來，必先解決現在的問題，而為了解決現在的問題，則要瞭解過去。」

This dissertation’s object of study is Perry Anderson, he is not only one of the most important character of English New Left, but also an excellent scholar of history. Owning to there is more room for Taiwanese Marxism study, as well as many characters, events and theories derived from it, and especially for English New Left Movement. Therefore this dissertation wants to be one good turn deserves another and achieve a stimulating effect, introduce Anderson’s theory and research method into Taiwanese academia, and provide another horizon of Left research.

As there is not many articles and monographs about Anderson, whatever Chinese or English, principally focus on Paul Blackledge’s Perry Anderson, Marxism and the New Left (2004), Gregory Elliott’s Perry Anderson: The Merciless Laboratory of History (1998), and Lin Chun’s The British New Left (1993), these three monographs constitute the basic framework of this dissertation, and take Anderson’s articles and books for assistant. The main purpose of this dissertation is to try to get the core argument from Anderson’s aplenty workings, and it is ’if you want to create the future, you must resolve the problems nowadays, for that, you need to understand the past. ’
