圖書館屬於功能性建築，學術圖書館建築的規劃，首先要能符合使用者需求以及機構目標。圖書館的規劃一向以館藏、讀者與館員三者為空間需求主軸，因為科技、政治、經濟、社會變遷、館藏成長和使用者需求的變化，圖書館應該以何種場域順應整體環境與使用者需求變遷，成為圖書館經營重要議題。 建築的生命是由規劃研究、設計、建造、使用適應以及經由環境與行為的研究進行評鑑而形成的一個循環週期，使用者調查研究為圖書館建築規劃的末端也是源頭，釐清使用者行為與空間需求實為建築規劃首要課題。圖書館的建築物由建築師建造，活動由圖書館來組織，建築物作為溝通工具，圖書館建築規劃必須明確傳達使用者需求。查尋文獻發現國內使用者調查相關研究尚少，尤其缺乏大規模、全面性的使用者空間需求調查資料，要落實使用者共同經營圖書館意涵，使用者的需求調查為必要的先決條件。 本研究目的主要為藉由蒐集國內外大學圖書館建築空間發展、用後評估、使用者需求調查與館舍規劃等文獻資料，分析大學圖書館建築空間的發展趨勢與使用者參與建築空間規劃的重要性。再以嘉義大學為個案，了解其師生空間需求特質與圖書館經營理念，提出嘉義大學圖書館空間經營建議。同時比較嘉義大學不同身分與學域圖書館使用者之資訊與空間需求，據以評估大學圖書館空間規劃針對不同需求使用者應有的考量。最後歸納大學圖書館使用者的空間需求內容，提供空間規劃參考。 本研究採用的研究方法包括文獻分析、焦點團體訪談、問卷調查。文獻分析據以了解大學圖書館建築空間的發展與使用者參與規劃的重要性；焦點團體訪談則蒐集嘉義大學教師、研究生與大學生等62位受訪者圖書館空間的使用與需求內容，再加上圖書館館舍規劃會議資料，作為發展問卷的基礎；最後採分層定比抽樣方式問卷調查嘉義大學227位教師與436位學生的資訊需求與圖書館空間需求。 本研究獲得嘉義大學敎師與學生在資源取用途徑、實體圖書館使用行為、教學與學習方式、圖書館整體空間、館藏空間、閱覽空間、教學與學習活動支援空間、其他活動的空間的需求內容與需求原因，研究並且顯示身分與學域的差異影響空間需求內容。研究結果指出嘉義大學師生需要圖書館：提供館藏發展空間，根據學域與身分差異規劃館藏空間，尤以民雄校區需要學科導向的館藏管理策略，需要一次購足的館員服務據點，輔助複合式教學的空間，提供學生多元活動場域，明亮舒適且容易使用的館舍，大量的資訊座位，容納學習與休閒功能的多媒體空間並且需要有彈性的空間管理策略。 本研究最後針對研究結果提出七項建議：一、館藏空間仍是使用者最重視的圖書館建築空間；二、空間規劃必須考量學域與身分需求差異；三、空間規劃要考量配合課程輔助機制；四、使用者行為研究要結合建築專業投入空間規劃；五、重視電子資源發展對圖書館空間的影響；六、加重館員在圖書館建築規劃的角色；七、彈性空間規劃順應使用者空間需求變化。 | zh_TW |
