摘要: | 本篇論文中提出一種能夠在智慧型手機上安全又快速的多媒體分享系統 NFC+。NFC (Near Field Communication,近距離無線通訊)是一種極短距離的無線射頻識別通訊協定技術標準,我們利用NFC 來迅速交換網路設定,意即兩裝置間可藉由NFC 這項功能,快速建立起彼起溝通的橋樑後,再透過其他傳輸率最高的無線技術(如Wi-Fi、Bluetooth)來傳輸檔案較大的資料。我們針對NFC+和目前智慧型手機上最常用的9種多媒體分享方法進行時間上的量測實驗。實驗包括兩裝置間的連接時間和實際傳輸時間。我們把多媒體分享方法分成四種類別: (1) Remote Storage (例如Facebook、Flickr) 、 (2) Store & Forward (例如MMS、Email) 、 (3) Direct Transfer (例如WiFi、Bluetooth、Hotspot) 、 (4) NFC+。實驗結果顯示NFC+Hotspot 的效能明顯優於其他傳輸方法,當傳輸1.0MB照片時,比其他Direct Transfer 方法快了1.2 – 2.1 倍,當傳輸一分鐘24.0M 高畫質錄像時,快了0.9 –5.7 倍。當我們比較實際1.0MB照片和24.0M 高畫質錄像傳輸效能的時候,NFC+是Remote Storage 及Store & Forward 的23.9 - 254.5 和16.8 - 88.1 倍。 In this work we introduce a novel approach, NFC+ , to share media content on mobile device. It leverages NFC (Near Field Communication) low friction setup property to quickly exchange network settings then programmatically setups wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC to establish a secure connection and media transfer. To ensure a representative analysis, we conducted controlled experiments for comparing the performance of NFC+ and other 8 commonly used media sharing methods for both picture and video along 2 key metrics, network setup time and the actual transmission time. The evaluation includes 4 categories: 1. Remote Storage (e.g. Facebook, Flickr), 2. Store & Forward (e.g. email, MMS), 3. Direct Transfer (e.g. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Hotspot), and 4. NFC+ Direct Transfer. In particular NFC+Hotspot, NFC is used for bootstrap and secure Wi-Fi Hotspot for transmission, outperforms others in both configuration and transmission phases. It shows an improvement ranging from 1.2x – 2.1x for 1.0MB photo and 0.9x – 5.7x for 1 minute HD video compared to other methods in the categories 3. In terms of transfer time, it shows an improvement of 23.9x – 254.5x for photo and 16.8x – 88.1x for video compared to methods in categories 1 and 2. |
