| zh_TW |
| dc.description.abstract | Mechanical stimulation is important for human physiology including bone remodeling which involves osteoblasts, osteoclasts and associated cytokines. In the process of bone formation, mechanical stretching may induce molecules to degrade extracellular matrix and inhibit the number of osteoclasts. Therefore, we test whether osteoprotegrin and MMP-3 would respond to the stretching stimulation in MG63 osteosarcoma cell line. RNA and protein were collected after MG63 stretched by Flexercell elongation system (2.79-9.75%) for 1, 8, 16 or 24 hours under frequency of 1 Hz or 0.1 Hz. RT-PCR, real-time PCR, Northern blot and Western blot analysis indicated that both OPG and MMP-3 were upregulated by stretching but the folds of increase may vary depending on the frequency and time point of mechanical stimulation. | en |
