臺灣政黨競爭至今雖有將近20年的歷史，然而與其他先進民主國家相比，政黨體系卻尚未達到制度化的標的。尤其總統選舉的舉行僅累積三次經驗，因選舉制度的操作與政治人物的分合，使政黨選票浮動率高達各類選舉之冠。政黨與政治菁英的策略互動與轉型，加上政治環境的變遷，選民對政黨的依附逐漸產生變化。2000年歷史性的政黨輪替，以及2004年民進黨囊括過半數選票，宣示選民投票行為的變化使大規模選票產生移轉，更甚者，對政黨的支持行為可能進一步深化為情感的依附。 在黨派抉擇部分，選樣偏誤模型修正了資料的扭曲，使模型估計的政黨得票率與實際政黨得票率的差距，限制在百分之一以下。影響總統選舉選民投票行為的因素，逐漸落在政治心理變數上，其中又以政黨認同和統獨立場具持續顯著解釋力。此外，不同黨派抉擇之間，其政黨認同和統獨立場的差異亦有逐漸拉大的趨勢。在政黨認同部分，泛綠認同者與中立選民的差距逐漸存在於族群認同與統獨立場之中；而泛藍認同者與中立選民的差異變化較大，過去以省籍、社會階級和族群認同為主，然2000年以後則集中在省籍、族群認同和統獨立場身上。最後，泛綠認同者與泛藍認同者的差異各年均有不同，大致上以省籍、族群認同和統獨立場為主。 整體而言，從選民行為面和態度面觀察，兩者改變的幅度雖然不同，但都顯示泛綠陣營勢力的擴張，以及泛藍陣營勢力的減弱。各陣營群眾基礎的變化主要與政治人物立場的轉換、選民結構變化和政治態度極化有關。 | zh_TW |
