摘要: | 建築業一直是全球重要的產業之一,台灣是建築工具機的重要生產基地,從一百多年前發明出建築用釘槍以來,不斷的進步,產地也漸漸的從美國與歐洲轉移到了日本,台灣與中國也陸續的加入了此產業的製造國,隨著此產業的發展,雖然產業目前沒有太大消失的可能,但隨著中國大量製造加入了此一競爭行列後,此產業也開始面臨了逐漸的淘汰較無競爭力的廠商以及進入了整併的時期,其中美國是全球建築釘槍最大的需求市場,經歷了2008年次級房貸的影響後,目前市場也逐漸的回溫,後續會是大廠之間互相整併,或是有新的替代品出現,以及現有的中小型廠商該如何因應現狀則為本研究重點。
個案公司在此產業屬於中小型廠商,原本主要為貿易商以及耗材的生產商,在面臨了市場的改變,以及削價競爭之下,不斷地做出變革,不只在代工上做出突破,爭取到更多大型廠商給予訂單,本身也有了優越的開發能力,甚至透過自身對於零件供應商的掌控能力,在成本控制,以及品質管理上開始與競爭者拉開距離,個案公司在大廠商的夾擊下,如何走出自身的活路,用自身的經營管理能力,替客戶創造出更多的價值,也替自身增加更多的利潤,值得其他產業的中小型公司作為參考。 The construction industry has always been one of the most important industries in the world. Taiwan is an important production base for construction machine tools. More than a century ago, the first construction nail gun was born. Since then, the industry has been evolving, and the origin of nail guns gradually shifted from the United States and Europe to Japan. Taiwan and China have also joined the nail gun industry successively. Even though the industry is unlikely to vanish, as China's mass production has joined the ranks of this competition, this industry has also begun to eliminate the less competitive manufactures and has entered the period of consolidation. The United States has the world’s largest demand for construction nail guns, and its market is gradually recovering from the subprime mortgage crisis in 2008. The follow-up would be the consolidation of corporations, or the emergence of new alternatives. How should current small and medium-sized corporations react to the status quo is the focus of this study. The P Company is a SME within the industry and was initially a trading company and a consumables manufacturer. While facing the price war and the reform of markets, the P Company has been making innovative changes constantly, making breakthroughs on OEM to earn more orders from large corporations, and it has attained innovative R&D capability as well. With attentive control over part suppliers, the P Company starts to widen the gap in cost control and quality management with its competitors. How P Company gets out of it’s own path in the crossfire between large corporations, and how it brings more value to the customers and more profits to itself by entrepreneurial capabilities concurrently, are worthy of reference to small and medium-sized companies in other industries. |
