國外分行如何影響銀行於歐洲主權債務危機期間之表現?

Abstract

本論文主要檢視銀行設立國外分行如何影響銀行於歐債主權債信危機的表現。國外分行所扮演的角色，視銀行總部位於哪一個地區而決定。國外分行可能視為一種傳遞危機的途徑，使銀行表現的更差；國外分行的設立使銀行於危機發生時因地理多角化進行風險分散，有利於銀行的表現。

This paper examines the relationship between the existing foreign branch patterns and the bank performance during the European Sovereign Debt Crisis. Foreign branches have both dark and bright sides. While they may transmit negative shocks from host countries to home countries, they may also allow banks to enjoy diversification benefits. It is found that the results depend on the locations of the banks’ headquarters.
