摘要: | 隨著行動裝置運算能力的提昇,使用者得以將以往的工作從個人電 腦轉移至智慧型裝置。手機提供使用者多樣的操控環境,但多是發生 在戶外,且以多工的情形下進行。因此多工、大眾許可的輸入方法是 必須被探討的。在此篇論文中,我們藉由日常生活中可能在我們身邊 出現的裝飾品來達成對智慧型裝置的操控。在經過一系列的調查後, 我們發現鈕釦為正式衣服上常見的裝飾品且多為複數的數量,因此我 們決定以鈕釦作為提供使用者豐富且被大眾許可的輸入媒介。我們調 查了對鈕釦可能的動作,並設計按、旋轉、翻等動作以提供豐富的互 動方式。為了實現這些動作,我們將感應裝置夾到我們的衣服上。感 應裝置包含了一個電容開關與慣性測量儀。電容開關可讓系統了解哪 個鈕釦正在被操縱,而慣性測量裝置則可辨認鈕釦的動作。藉由質性 測驗的結果,我們確立了鈕釦作為輸入裝置,可讓使用者在無需視覺 輔助且被社交議題許可的狀況下操控隨身的行重裝置。在論文的最後, 我們利用智慧型眼鏡與無需視覺輔助的音樂播放器兩個應用程式,展 現鈕釦作為輸入裝置可協助使用者在各種情境下解決生活常見的問題。 Portable devices are increasingly powerful. Nowadays, users can trans- fer their ongoing work from their desktop to their portable devices, making multi-tasking happens on these devices frequently. However, in some spe- cific contexts, using portable devices may conflict with some social concerns, which may limit the way users interact with the devices. Hence, this project seeks possible candidates for social-acceptable, opportunistic controllers for portable devices, especially in the contexts of multitasking. After the com- prehensive exploration study, we choose the buttons on the clothes as our design focus. Buttons are commonly sewn on formal clothing and often came with multiple duplicates. We surveyed and designed possible input methods, such as tap, tilt, and spin, to allow for modeless and rich interactions. Then, we present SensorButtons, a clip-on sensor set, allowing transferring buttons on the clothing of the day into mobile inputs on the move. Our prototype consists of a motion sensor and capacitive switch. The former detects which button is operating, and the latter detects which operation is performing. The results of quantitative measurements shown the validity of the sensing hard- ware, and the qualitative studies shown that SensorButtons are suitably de- ployed as eyes-free, social-acceptable, and intuitive input devices. Finally, several applications such as glass-display controller and eyes-free music con- trollers are shown to demonstrate the usefulness of our approach. |
