dc.description.abstract根據不同意識層面測得的自尊可區分為外顯與內隱自尊,而屬高外顯低內隱自尊的人統稱為防衛型高自尊者,另外,高外顯高內隱自尊的人統稱為安全型高自尊者。本研究藉比較這兩類自尊者在威脅情境下的行為反應以及對負向情緒的自動化調節差異,進一步闡述高自尊異質性的樣貌。
研究一主要是檢驗防衛型高自尊者面對威脅刺激時會比安全型高自尊者更有防衛性反應。研究一利用偽智力測驗操弄兩種回饋情境(正向vs.負向回饋),發現在只有在接收負向回饋下,防衛型高自尊者較安全型高自尊者對威脅來源(偽智力測驗)有更多負向的評價,以及更去貶低外團體(私校生)的得分,因此防衛型相較於安全型高自尊者遇到負向自我威脅時,會藉由貶低威脅來源與趨下外團體得分的行為來維護自我。
研究二進一步探討自我涉入後的負向情感威脅是否會對兩類自尊者的情緒調節反應時間造成差異。經使用改良式的情感促發作業發現,防衛型高自尊者在閾下自我涉入後調節負向情感訊息的時間要慢於安全型高自尊者,防衛型高自尊者調節負向情感的時間也會比調節正向情感還要慢,而安全型高自尊者調節負向情感的時間卻比調節正向情感快得多,這些現象在無閾下自我涉入的條件卻不會發生,因此防衛型高自尊者面對負向情感訊息的自動化情緒調節時間會比安全型高自尊者差。本研究認為防衛型高自尊者表面上雖擁有正向自我觀,但由於潛意識中隱藏著負向內隱自我,所以對負向評價性訊息敏感,因此當自我遇到負向威脅時不容易調節情緒狀態,反而容易受到負向訊息影響而沉浸在負面思考中因此易有防衛性反應。
