Through spatial analysis methods, this study explores the spatial distribution of male and female average age of death in Taiwan, and tries to explain what factors affect male and female average age of death having regional gap. This study uses previous literature and research to classify the possible factors which interfere spatial distribution into four categories: eco-social backgrounds, medical and resources factors, environmental factors and spatial factors, and then summarizes the possible variables with significant effects to male and female average age of death from the categories.
After regression analysis, this study finds that the variables of eco-social backgrounds have greatest impact on male and female average age of death. Relatively, medical and resources factors and environmental factors show no significant association. Adding variables of spatial factors into regression analysis, this study also discovers that the spatial autocorrelation of male and female average age of death are not caused from neighborhood effect, which means the average age of death between neighbor regions do not affect each other.
