摘要: | 本文以沈從文後期的文學創作思想和書寫觀念為主要研究對象,嘗試從中觀察作者在1949以後的思想精神,並與其前期的文學理想和創作觀念進行連結。新中國成立以後,沈從文的文學和物質文化史書寫,均涉及到對歷史的描述,但他在其中所顯示的「抒情」觀念,卻與官方強調「唯物」的意識形態,形成張力。本文以為沈從文的物質文化史研究,是他試圖以看似非文學的創作,突破當代的文藝創作規範,以實現自己以「美育」和「民族重造」為目的的文學理念。本文藉由他在新中國前期所寫的家書和小說文本的分析,指出幾次失敗的創作經驗,讓沈從文明確意識到,在當時的創作環境下,根本無法實現理想中「有情的書寫」,乃將創作重心從文學轉移到物質文化史研究領域。本文以為,在晚期的代表作──《中國古代服飾研究》中,沈從文採取了「索象於圖,索理於文」的編寫方式,一方面借助複製的圖像向讀者展示古代服飾的形制細節,以及穿著者的表情動作;一方面又透過「長長短短、記敘隨宜」的札記體說明,帶領讀者以服飾為媒介,進入古人的日常生活,了解他們的思想感情,以此實踐他以「有情的書寫」方式,敘述歷史的心願。在小說創作之外,沈從文也曾經使用舊體詩陳述自己所身處的歷史環境。細讀沈從文的舊體詩,可以感受到他對現實環境所懷抱的熱情、愧疚與憂懼並存的矛盾複雜情感,以及他遊走於「抒情」與「唯物」之間的歷史觀念。透過對沈從文後期書寫的研究,本文在觀察他對「唯物」與「抒情」之調和與認知方式的同時,也將關注他對時代風潮的思考和回應,希望能以此豐富學界有關沈從文後期思想精神的研究成果。 This paper focuses mainly on the idea of literature creation and writing in Shen Congwen's later writing, and aims to reexamine the flow of Shen's ideology before and after the Chinese revolution in 1949. After People's Republic of China is established, Shen's writing of literature and the history of material culture involves narration of history, which creates a tension between his lyrical concept and the official's materialism ideology. The purpose of this study is to investigate Shen's cognition and mediation between both (lyrical and materialism). Based on the findings of Shen's later writing, this study aims to probe into Shen's response to the new era. The study findings may serve as a guide for further research on Shen's ideology, and for better understanding Shen as well. In Shen's later writing, narration of history in both of his novel and classical poetry is studied. Also, history of material culture is examined through Shen's masterpiece A Study of Ancient Chinese Costume. Firstly, this paper starts with the topics of aesthetic education and ethnicity restructuring, in which Shen's studies on history of material culture is analyzed, and is linked with his earlier works. Secondly, based on Shen's home letters and novels in the early years of the People's Republic of China, Shen's thoughts on history writing, and the reason he shifted from writing of literature to history of material culture is inspected. Then, Shen's 'sentimental writing of history' is studied through the process of writing and editing of the book A Study of Ancient Chinese Costume, which discloses its profound meaning towards Shen. Lastly, the influence of politics on Shen's writing is analyzed through his classical poetry and writing process, also, his attitude and response towards newly formed government is examined. |
