| zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | Entrepreneurship education has been an interesting topic since entrepreneurship is a solution to unemployment and economic problems. To understand college students’ entrepreneurial intention, we investigated department identification, entrepreneurial attitude, entrepreneurial self-efficacy, entrepreneurial environment support, entrepreneurial competence and entrepreneurial intention in the Theory of Planned Behavior model.
Our study is based on the students from National Taiwan University College of Management. We obtained 455 samples, accounting for 18.6% of the total population. Of which, 145 are Business Administration students, 139 are Accounting and Finance, while 171 are International Business students. The results of the study not only revealed each respondent’s score on the scale, it also focused on department identification and entrepreneurial intention according to individual department. The study found statistically significant difference in all aspects among undergraduates and graduates; department identification, entrepreneurial attitude, entrepreneurial self-efficacy, entrepreneurial environment support, and entrepreneurial intention have statistically significant difference among students from different departments; entrepreneurial attitude, entrepreneurial self-efficacy, and entrepreneurial intention have statistically significant difference among male and female students. This study is based on Theory of Planned Behavior, examining the moderation effect of department identification. We found that entrepreneurial attitude, entrepreneurial environment support, and entrepreneurial competence all have significant positive effect on entrepreneurial intention while entrepreneurial self-efficacy does not exhibit significant effect. The result of multi-group structural equation modeling found that department identification moderates the planned behavior model of entrepreneurial intention. For students with low department identification, entrepreneurial environment support is the major factor affecting entrepreneurial intention. One the other hand, for students with high department identification, entrepreneurial competence is the major factor. The result of our study showed department identification does affect the entrepreneurial intention model, and can be used as reference for future study or for College of Management. | en |
